Here are the cards from the "Close to my Heart" card Classe I attended on Monday. They are basic but nice. Not bad 4 cards for $6.

Was a crafty afternoon...

This afternoon, I had to make some cards and Gifts for my parting clients.

I made 2 cards and 2 purses. I can't believe I got this done in 2 hours.

I received a beautiful picture Clock from Gabrielle and her family. What a nice gesture! Today is my last day doing child care. It has started to sink in... I am moving away and my life is going to change dramatically. Wish me luck!

Starting to feel sad... =(

Today marks the beginning of a huge change in my life. One of my child care families is finishing up care today. And, Oh, how I will miss them terribly. I am done with Childcare on June 29th. I can't believe I have been doing this since January 2004. I have had the little girl in red since sept 04. How to say "goodbye" to a few 4 year old and two 2 year olds. I will have to do something super special for them. Any ideas?

These are my 4 year olds. They are the bestest of friends and are inseparable. They will miss each other very much. I pray there families will try to stay in touch until one of them gets posted.

My 2 year olds. How cute are they! I hope the little boy and his family enjoy living in Victoria. The little girl is from Trenton. I wish for her to receive great care in the coming year before she
starts school.

Here's the day crew... All of them together.
These 6 kids spend all their time together.
One big happy familly.
They will all be MISSED very much!

Back to Cards

A few of my friends are having babies shortly so I decided to try out my new jumbo wheel "baby Rattle" and stamp set. I made this card in both blue and purple. I like the blue one better... I did have 3 boys. I also made a birthday card for my friend Julie but I can't post it as it's in the mail and it would ruin the surprise! Enjoy!

Our House Hunting Trip to Edmonton Alberta

So Here we are in the Rockies! OMG, what an amazing day. Banff was beautiful. We took a trip up a Gondola to the top of Sulphur mountain. We were surrounded by 360 degres of mountains. The magnatude of the mountains reminds you of how the world needs to change in order to preserve our natural beauty. If you get the chance to go to the Rockies... TAKE IT!

Gallivanting in Quinte West!

What a great mother's day weekend! The weather was beautiful and warm. A great weekend to go for a hike or two.
On Saturday, we packed up the boys and made our way to Campbellford, Ontario. What a nice little town. The locals were very friendly. We went to Ferris Provincial Park. It's a small park but nice none the less. There we crossed over a suspension bridge built by CFB Trenton soldiers. Very cool. We also had a chance to see both the Chocolate and Cheese Factories. The goodies we bought were very good.

On Sunday, Jay made me a very nice breakfast. The weather was great again so we decided to make our way to Picton, Ontario. Our goal was to find "Bird House City". At first, we couldn't find the place. We saw a sign for "Lake on a mountain" Provincial Park which looked very interesting so off we went, up a mountain. What a spectacular view. We saw the Bay of Quinte from the mountain top. In the distance, we could see the Glenora Ferry. To my surprise there really is a Lake on the mountain. Kind of interesting to see. It was a gorgeous lake too. Very still. Lake on the Mountain is a natural curiosity: it has a constant flow of clean, fresh water, with no apparent source, 60 metres above Lake Ontario. Mohawks offered gifts to its spirits and settlers thought it was bottomless. We were able to score a map of Prince Edward County at the Restaurant by the lake.
From there, we tried to find "Birdhouse City". Now we have a map, it should be easy to find "Birdhouse City" in a small town like Picton. Well, somehow we missed our turn off and ended up taking the scenic route around the bay back into Picton. We came upon "Birdhouse City" by accident. Yippee! We found it! There must have been a hundred different bird houses and they all resemble historical buildings in the County. Very interesting to see. At this park, there was a mountain with trails on it. I had the bright idea that maybe we should climb it and see where the trails take us. This was not an easy mountain to climb. Austin managed to climb right up it no problem. Riley did well also. Must have been hard for Jay with Carter on his back. I was winded half way up! I need to get into shape.
From "Birdhouse City" we had a nice lunch at Subway. Then we made our way to "Millennium Lookout", a monument named in 2000.

What an adventurous weekend. Jay and I even squeezed in a date night - diner & driving range. I want to have more weekends like this one!

Soccer mom

Here's an update on Austin trying out for the competitive soccer team here in Trenton. Unfortunately, he did not make it. The odds were stacked against him from the start. He only made it to 2 try-outs and the second try-out, he was recovering from this FLU. We were told that the team "calls-up" players all the time, so, Austin will get his chance to play with them. I am now more involved then I thought I would be in soccer. I am now the coach of the under 10 boys house league team. I hope Austin is as excited about it as I am.
